This Act is the Prohibition of Gang Insignia in Government Premises Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is to prohibit the display of gang insignia on premises of departments of the Public Service, the Police, Crown entities, local authorities, and schools. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— has the same meaning as in section 7 of the Crown Entities Act 2004 means any department specified in Schedule 1 of the State Sector Act 1988 means a district health board established by or under section 19 of the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000 means any organisation, association, or group of persons— that is known by a name that is the same as, or substantially similar to, any of t
