This Act is the Electoral Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on 1 March 2009. This Act amends the Electoral Act 1993. Section 3(1) is amended by repealing the definition of and substituting the following definition: ,— in Parts 1 to 6 and 9, means— a constituency candidate; and a list candidate: in , means a constituency candidate: in Parts 7 and 8, means— a constituency candidate; and a list candidate; and any person who has declared his or her intention of becoming a constituency candidate or list candidate Section 3(1) is amended by inserting the following definitions in their appropriate alphabetical order: ,— in relation to a constituency candidate, has the meaning given to it by : in relation to a party that is registered under Part 4, has the meaning given to it by means any
