This Act is the Building (Earthquake-prone Buildings) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the earlier of— a date appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council; and the day that is 2 years after the date on which this Act receives the Royal assent. This amends the Building Act 2004 (the ).
