This Act is the Sale and Supply of Liquor and Liquor Enforcement Act . comes into force on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council; and one or more orders may be made bringing different provisions into force on different dates. comes into force on the day 6 months after the date on which this Act receives the Royal assent. The rest of this Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is to make to the Sale of Liquor Act 1989, the Summary Offences Act 1981, and the Land Transport Act 1998, amendments that— reduce the opportunity for society and individuals to be harmed by the misuse or excessive consumption of alcohol; or deter people from undertaking behaviour related to alcohol that is likely to re
