This Act is the Legal Services Act . This Act comes into force on a date appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council, and 1 or more orders may be made appointing different dates for different provisions. The purpose of this Act is to promote access to justice by establishing a system that— provides legal services to people of insufficient means; and delivers those services in the most effective and efficient manner.
