This Act is the Domestic Violence (Enhancing Safety) Act . This Act comes into force on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council. One or more Orders in Council may be made appointing different dates for the commencement of different provisions and for different purposes. The following provisions come into force on 1 July 2010: : . The rest of this Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. amends the Domestic Violence Act 1995. Section 19(2)(e) is amended by inserting after . Section 32(3) is repealed. Section 49 is repealed and the following sections are substituted: Every person commits an offence who, without reasonable excuse,— does any act in contravention of a protection order; or fails to comply with any conditions
