This Act is the Companies (Limited Partnerships Identical Names Prohibition) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Act amends the Companies Act 1993 (the ). Replace section 22(2)(b) with: that is identical or almost identical to the name of another company, a limited partnership, or an overseas limited partnership that is registered under section 108 of the Limited Partnerships Act 2008; or
