This Act is the Apple Transitional Export Quota Act . This Act comes into force on a date appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council. An order made under this section is secondary legislation ( Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019 for publication requirements). is repealed at the end of the last day of the year that is the second year after the year in which the FTA comes into force. The purpose of is to implement New Zealand’s obligations under the FTA, as those obligations relate to fresh apples. To achieve that purpose, provides for New Zealand Apples and Pears Incorporated, on behalf of the Crown,— to design and operate a quota system that— operates for up to 3 years (in the period 1 August to 31 December in each of those years); and enables apples to be exported from New Zeal
