This Act is the Contracts of Insurance (Repeals and Amendments) Act . This Act comes into force on a date or dates set by Order in Council. However, comes into force on the day after Royal assent. Any part of the Act that has not come into force by the third anniversary of Royal assent comes into force then. An Order in Council made under this section is secondary legislation ( Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019 for publication requirements). The following legislation is repealed: the Insurance Intermediaries Act 1994 (1994 No 41): the Insurance Law Reform Act 1977 (1977 No 14): the Insurance Law Reform Act 1985 (1985 No 117): the Life Insurance Act 1908 (1908 No 105): Part 3 of the Law Reform Act 1936. to amend the Marine Insurance Act 1908.
