This Act is the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on a date appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council, and 1 or more orders may be made appointing different dates for different provisions. To the extent not previously brought into force under , this Act comes into force 6 months after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Act amends the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000. Section 5(3)(e) is amended by omitting and substituting . Section 5 is amended by inserting the following subsection after subsection (7): A statutory entity called the Health Quality and Safety Commission ( ) is established (Part 4— , 60, 61, 66, 67, and 69 and Schedule 6), and has functions that relate to the improvement of the qu
