This Act is the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Claims Settlement Act . This Act, except , comes into force on the first day of the third month after the month in which the Act receives the Royal assent. come into force on a date appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council. A date may be appointed pursuant to only if the Governor-General is satisfied, at the time of the making of the Order, that the Crown has not received a notice from the trustee under clause 6.6 of the deed of settlement specifying that the trustee no longer wishes to purchase the Narrow Neck property.
