This Act is the West Coast Wind-blown Timber (Conservation Lands) Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is to allow the Director-General to authorise the removal from certain conservation areas and reserves in the West Coast region of timber irreversibly damaged by Cyclone Ita ( ). This Act expires and is repealed on 1 July 2019.
