This Act is the Rongowhakaata Claims Settlement Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is— to give effect to certain provisions of the deed of settlement, which is a deed that settles the historical claims of Rongowhakaata, dated 30 September 2011 and signed by— the Minister for Treaty of Waitangi Negotiations, the Honourable Christopher Finlayson, for and on behalf of the Crown; and William Stirling Te Aho, Stanley Joseph Pardoe, Jody Balneavis Wyllie, Meka Whaitiri, Tutekawa Wyllie, Maever Cherie Hei Ariki Moeau, and Peter John Richard Moeau as the mandated signatories for and on behalf of Rongowhakaata (including Ngā Uri o Te Kooti Rikirangi); and Tutekawa Wyllie, William Stirling Te Aho, Stanley Joseph Pa
