This Act is the Crimes Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This amend the Crimes Act 1961. Section 248 is amended by omitting and substituting . Section 248 is amended by inserting the following definition in its appropriate alphabetical order: includes an authorisation conferred on a person by or under an enactment or a rule of law, or by an order of a court or judicial process Section 252(3) is repealed. Sections 253 and 254 are repealed.
