This Act is the Rodney District Council Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is to constitute the Rodney District Council as a unitary authority to provide local government for the Rodney district. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— means the Rodney district as described in the Local Government (Auckland Region) Reorganisation Order 1989 ( 1989, p 2247 at 2253) and the Local Government Boundary Alteration Notice 1997 ( 1997, page 1061); and extended in accordance with is the same council as constituted by the Local Government (Auckland Region) Reorganisation Order 1989 ( 1989, p 2247 at 2253) means the Transition Agency established by section 10(1) of the Local Government (Tamaki Makaurau
