This Act is the Electoral (Integrity) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Act amends the Electoral Act 1993 (the ). After section 55(1)(f), insert: if, , he or she ceases to be a parliamentary member of the political party for which he or she was elected; or After section 55AA, insert: The purpose of is to— enhance public confidence in the integrity of the electoral system; and enhance the maintenance of the proportionality of political party representation in Parliament as determined by electors.
