This Act is the Greater Christchurch Regeneration Act . This Act comes into force on . However, and and of Part come into force on the day after the date on which this Act receives the Royal assent. This Act supports the regeneration of greater Christchurch through the following purposes: enabling a focused and expedited regeneration process: facilitating the ongoing planning and regeneration of greater Christchurch: enabling community input into decisions on the exercise of powers under and the development of Regeneration Plans: recognising the local leadership of Canterbury Regional Council, Christchurch City Council , Selwyn District Council, Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu, and Waimakariri District Council and providing them with a role in decision making under this Act: enabling the Crown to e
