This Act is the Sentencing (Domestic Violence) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Act amends the Sentencing Act 2002 (the ). In section 4(1), after the definition of , insert: has the meaning given in section 3 of the Domestic Violence Act 1995 After section 9(1)(e), insert: that the offending involved, or related (in whole or in part), to domestic violence committed by the offender:
