This Act is the Crimes (Increased Penalty for Providing Explosive to Commit Crime) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which this Act receives the Royal assent. This Act amends the Crimes Act 1961 (the ). The purpose of this Act is to increase the penalty for providing explosives from a maximum of 2 years to a maximum of 5 years’ imprisonment.
