This Act is the Appropriation (2023/24 Confirmation and Validation) Act . This Act comes into force on the day after Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is— to confirm and validate matters relating to the 2023/24 financial year; and to validate matters relating to the 2021/22 and 2022/23 financial years. In this Act,— means the financial year ending with 30 June 2022 means the financial year ending with 30 June 2023 means the financial year ending with 30 June 2024. Terms or expressions used and not defined in this Act but defined in the Public Finance Act 1989 have, in this Act, the same meanings as in the Public Finance Act 1989.
