This Act is the Broadcasting (Election Programmes and Election Advertising) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Part amends the Broadcasting Act 1989 (the ). Replace Part 6 with: In this Part, unless the context otherwise requires,— means— a television broadcaster: a radio broadcaster , in relation to an election programme,— means the costs incurred in broadcasting the election programme; but does not include any production costs incurred in respect of that programme means an election programme referred to in has the meaning given to it by section 3(1) of the Electoral Act 1993, and includes a person who has declared his or her intention of becoming a constituency candidate means— a general election: a by-election
