This Act is the Hawke's Bay Regional Planning Committee Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is to improve tāngata whenua involvement in the development and review of documents prepared in accordance with the Resource Management Act 1991 for the Hawke's Bay region. To that end, this Act establishes the Hawke’s Bay Regional Planning Committee as a joint committee of the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council.
