This Act is the Education and Training (Freedom of Expression) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day that is 3 months after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Act amends the Education and Training Act 2020 (the ). After section 280(1)(d), insert: to prepare, issue and keep up to date the institution's code of practice on free speech ( ): After section 281, insert: An institution's council must take all reasonable steps to ensure that freedom of speech within the law is secured for staff and students of the institution and for visiting speakers.
