This Act is Te Ture mō Ō-Rākau, Te Pae o Maumahara /Ō-Rākau Remembrance Act . This Act may also be cited as— Te Ture mō Ō-Rākau, Te Pae o Maumahara ; or the Ō-Rākau Remembrance Act . This Act comes into force on the day after Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is to give effect to certain provisions of the Ō-Rākau deed relating to the Ō-Rākau site. The provisions of this Act take effect on the vesting date unless stated otherwise. Before the date on which a provision takes effect, a person may prepare or sign a document or do anything else that is required for— the provision to have full effect on that date; or a power to be exercised under the provision on that date; or a duty to be performed under the provision on that date.
