This Act is the Digital Identity Services Trust Framework Act . This Act comes into force— on 1 or more dates set by Order in Council; or to the extent not brought into force earlier, on . One or more Orders in Council may set different dates for different provisions. An Order in Council made under this section is secondary legislation ( Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019 for publication requirements). The purposes of this Act are— to establish a legal framework for the provision of secure and trusted digital identity services for individuals and organisations: to establish governance and accreditation functions that are transparent and incorporate te ao Māori approaches to identity.
