This Act is the Criminal Proceeds (Recovery) (Definition of Significant Criminal Activity) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day after date on which it receives the royal assent. This Act amends the Criminal Proceeds (Recovery) Act 2009 (the ). Replace section 6(1) with: In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, means— an activity engaged in by a person that if proceeded against as a criminal offence would amount to offending that— consists of, or includes, 1 or more offences punishable by a maximum term of imprisonment of 5 years or more; or from which property, proceeds, or benefits of a value of $30,000 or more have, directly or indirectly, been acquired or derived; or an activity engaged in by a person that could be proceeded against as a criminal offence, rega
