This Act is the Electoral (Administration) Amendment Act . The following provisions come into force on 1 October 2010: the provisions in : the provisions in . The rest of this Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Act amends the Electoral Act 1993. The following sections are inserted after section 4A: This section establishes the Electoral Commission. The Electoral Commission is a Crown entity for the purposes of section 7 of the Crown Entities Act 2004. The Crown Entities Act 2004 applies to the Electoral Commission except to the extent that this Act expressly provides otherwise.
