This Act is the Commerce Amendment Act . The following come into force on : (which repeal Part 4A of the principal Act relating to electricity lines businesses); and of the principal Act (which relates to electricity lines businesses, as substituted by ), except . The rest of this Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Part amends the Commerce Act 1986. Part 4 is repealed and the following Part substituted: This Part provides for the regulation of the price and quality of goods or services in markets where there is little or no competition and no likelihood of a substantial increase in competition. The purpose of this Part is to promote the long-term benefit of consumers in markets referred to in by promoting outcomes that are consistent
