This Act is the Financial Reporting Act . This Act comes into force on a date appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council; and 1 or more orders may be made bringing different provisions into force on different dates. To the extent that it is not previously brought into force under , the rest of this Act comes into force on 1 April 2015. The purpose of this Act is to— continue the External Reporting Board and define its functions and powers; and provide for the issue of financial reporting standards and auditing and assurance standards; and provide for auditor qualifications and other standard provisions relating to financial reporting duties under other enactments.
