This Act is the Pare Hauraki Collective Redress Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent, except as provided in . , to the extent that it applies to the name change for Great Barrier Island (Aotea), comes into force on a date appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council made on the recommendation of the Minister for Treaty of Waitangi Negotiations. The purpose of this Act is to give effect to the Pare Hauraki collective deed that provides for the collective redress of the Iwi of Hauraki. The 12 Iwi of Hauraki are— Hako; and Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki; and Ngāti Hei; and Ngāti Maru; and Ngāti Paoa; and Ngāti Porou ki Hauraki; and Ngāti Pūkenga; and Ngāti Rāhiri Tumutumu; and Ngāti Tamaterā; and Ngāti Tara Tokanui; and Ngaati Whanaunga;
