This Act is the Marine Animals Protection Law Reform Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Part amends the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978. Section 2(1) is amended by inserting the following definition in its appropriate alphabetical order: means— information that is scientifically robust taking into account the views of qualified independent scientists; and the best information that, in the circumstances, is available without undue cost, effort, or time Section 2(1) is amended by repealing the definition of and substituting the following definition: means the death of any marine mammal that can be attributed directly or indirectly to any fishing activity Section 2(1) is amended by inserting the following definitions in the
