This Act is the Real Estate Agents Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. of this Act come into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. The rest of this Act comes into force on the day that is 1 year after the date it receives the Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is to promote and protect the interests of consumers in respect of transactions that relate to real estate . The Act achieves its purpose by— regulating agents, branch managers, and salespersons: raising industry standards: providing accountability through a disciplinary process that is independent, transparent, and effective.
