This Act is the Maniapoto Maori Trust Board Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. amends the Maniapoto Maori Trust Board Act 1988. The definition of in section 2 is amended by omitting and substituting . Section 5 is repealed. Section 6 is repealed and the following section substituted: The Board consists of 15 persons, appointed or elected as follows: 6 members elected by the beneficiaries of the Board in accordance with the Maori Trust Boards Regulations 1985; and 7 members elected by the Regional Management Committees in accordance with the Maori Trust Boards Regulations 1985; and 1 member appointed by the Governor-General on the recommendation of the Minister of Māori Affairs, nominated by, and representing, Te Arikin
