This Act is the Offshore Renewable Energy Act . This Act comes into force on the day after Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is to— give greater certainty for developers to invest in ORE developments; and allow the selection of ORE developments that best meet New Zealand’s national interests; and manage the risks to the Crown and the public from ORE developments.
