This Act is the Social Security (Exemption for Ex Gratia and Compensation Payments) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Act amends the Social Security Act 1964 (the ). After section 68A, insert: This section applies to — any compensation or ex gratia payment made by the Crown to a person in recognition of harm or in respect of a claim of harm; and any income derived by the person from a payment referred to in .
