This Act is the Arms (Military Style Semi-automatic Firearms and Import Controls) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on a date appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council. However, if this Act has not earlier been brought into force, it comes into force on the day that is 1 year after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Act amends the Arms Act 1983.
