This Act is the Members of Parliament (Remuneration and Services) Act . This Act comes into force on 1 November . This Act (except ) comes into force on . come into force on . The primary purpose of this Act is to ensure that the House of Representatives and its members are properly supported in a way that maintains confidence in the integrity of Parliament. To that end, the other purposes of this Act include— providing for the remuneration of members of Parliament; and ensuring that members of Parliament are provided with the services that they require to enable them to carry out their roles and functions; and establishing an efficient and effective system for determining the services to be provided to members of Parliament; and providing for travel services for family members of members
