This Act is the Corrections Amendment Act (No 2) . This Act comes into force on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council, and 1 or more orders may be made bringing different provisions into force on different dates. This Act amends the Corrections Act 2004. Section 3(1) is amended by inserting the following definition in its appropriate alphabetical order: — means an electronic communication device (other than a device used to assist with a disability) that is capable of any or all of the following actions: transmitting sound: computing information: functioning as a telephone: communicating in any other way using any technology (including telecommunication, radiocommunication, Internet, and broadcasting technology): includes any part of an electronic communication
