This Act is the Climate Change (Divestment from Fossil Fuels) Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date after which it receives the Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is to— require fund managers to identify the climate change risks of the fund’s investments; and require fund managers to actively measure, manage, and report on the fund’s exposure to climate change risks; and require fund managers to dispose of investments in companies directly involved in the mining and production of fossil fuels; and prohibit fund managers from investing in companies directly involved in the mining and production of fossil fuels.
