This Act is the Private International Law (Choice of Law in Tort) Act . This Act comes into force after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is to establish rules for choosing the law to be used for determining issues relating to tort ) . The transitional, savings, and related provisions set out in have effect according to their terms. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— means the law to be used for determining issues relating to tort means a claim in tort means a country in the sense of private international law. This Act binds the Crown.
