This Act is the New Zealand Public Health and Disability (Waikato DHB) Elections Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is to cancel the 2019 triennial general election of the Waikato DHB in order to provide, until the repeal date, for the continuation of the term of office of a commissioner for the Waikato DHB. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— means the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000 means a person appointed under section 31 of the 2000 Act to be a commissioner for the Waikato DHB means the day specified for the repeal of this Act by has the meaning given in clause 1 of Schedule 2 of the 2000 Act means the district health board of that name listed in Schedule 1 of the 2
