This Act is the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Amendment Act . come into force on the earlier of— a date appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council; and the expiry of the 24-month period that starts on the date of Royal assent. The rest of this Act comes into force on the day after the date on which this Act receives the Royal assent.
