This Act is the Water Services Acts Repeal Act . This Act comes into force on the day after Royal assent. The purposes of this Act are— to repeal the Water Services Entities Act 2022, the Water Services Legislation Act 2023, and the Water Services Economic Efficiency and Consumer Protection Act 2023; and to disestablish the Northland and Auckland Water Services Entity and make related transitional arrangements; and to make transitional arrangements for local authorities’ long-term plans by amending the Local Government Act 2002.
