This Act is the Waitangi National Trust Board Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal Assent. This Act amends the Waitangi National Trust Board Act 1932 (the ). After section 2(2), insert: When the term of office of the representative member holding the position first held by Riri Maihi Kawiti ends in accordance with ,— that position is disestablished; and the Board must appoint as representative members of the Board— a member of the family of Hone Heke; and a member of the family of Maihi Kawiti; and a member of the family of Tamati Waka Nene; and a member of the family of Pomare.
