This Act is the Overseas Investment (Queen’s Chain) Amendment Act . In this Act, the Overseas Investment Act 1973 1973 No 14 is called . This Act comes into force on the day on which it receives the Royal assent. The principal Act is amended by inserting, after section 9, the following section: This section applies to proposals submitted to the Overseas Investment Commission for approval, consent, or permission for land as defined in the First Schedule, and where no marginal strip, esplanade reserve, esplanade strip, or public road exists between the land and any sea, river, or lake. In this section, the terms , , and , have the meanings given to them by the Resource Management Act 1991.
