This Act is the Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Relationships Registration Amendment Act . This Act comes into force after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Act amends the Act that was previously called the Births, Deaths, and Marriages Registration Act 1995. The Title is repealed. After the commencement of this section,— the principal Act is called the Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Relationships Registration Act 1995; and every reference in any enactment and in any document to the principal Act must, subject to the other provisions of this Act and unless the context otherwise provides, be read as a reference to the Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Relationships Registration Act 1995.
