This Act is the Misuse of Drugs (Medicinal Cannabis) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force 6 months after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Part amends the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975 (the ). In section 2(1), insert the following definitions in their appropriate alphabetical order: means the flowering or fruiting tops of a cannabis plant (excluding the seeds and leaves when not accompanied by the tops) from which the resin has not been extracted by whatever name they be designated means cannabis, a cannabis plant, a cannabis preparation, or cannabis resin, that is grown, cultivated, processed, or manufactured for the purpose of producing a medicinal cannabis product means— any plant of the genus : any part of a plant of the genus including, but not limited to, the seeds
