This Act is the Immigration (Mass Arrivals) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Act amends the Immigration Act 2009. In section 4, replace the definition of with: , in relation to a craft,— means a person, other than a member of the crew, who is carried in or on the craft with the consent of the carrier, or the person in charge, of the craft; but for the purpose of any provision in this Act or secondary legislation made under this Act that deems certain passengers to hold a visa and to have been granted entry permission, does not include a person who is a member of a mass arrival group After section 79(1)(c), insert: a person who is a member of a mass arrival group and has the responsibility of applying for a visa
