This Act is the Animal Welfare Amendment Act . come into force on the earlier of the following: a date appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council: 5 years after the date on which this Act receives the Royal assent. come into force on 1 January following the second anniversary of the date on which this Act receives the Royal assent. comes into force on the day that is 6 months after the date on which this Act receives the Royal assent. comes into force on the day that is 3 months after the date on which this Act receives the Royal assent. The rest of this Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. One or more Orders in Council may be made under appointing different dates for different provisions. This Act amends the Animal Welfare Act 19
