This Act is the Responding to Abuse in Care Legislation Amendment Act . and (except ) come into force on a date or dates set by Order in Council. Any part of or (except ) that has not come into force 12 months after Royal assent comes into force then. The rest of this Act comes into force on the day after Royal assent. An Order in Council made under this section is secondary legislation ( Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019 for publication requirements). This Part amends the Children’s Act 2014. Replace section 28(1) to (3) with: This section applies to a person who— has been convicted of— a specified offence; or an offence under the law of another jurisdiction that, if committed in New Zealand, would be a specified offence; and does not hold an exemption granted under section 35 in respect
